About Me

As an architectural designer and visual artist, I  strive to merge beauty, craft and function  in creating engaging environments and one-of-a kind sculptural artwork.

My architectural practice is rooted in a collaborative approach with a process bound by a deep respect for client relations,  an attention to detail and discovering the inherent beauty in simplicity.  I embrace the unique challenges found within every project as a catalyst for creative and thoughtful solutions.

My art practice is heavily influenced by my architectural background and explores a raw beauty in pared-down form, explorations in structure, and a love of the imperfect. My work strives for subtlety, yet is filled with detail, beckoning the viewer to pause in the quietness, and pay close attention. While primarily working with clay, I also push the boundaries of materiality. Using metal, leather, and thread as structural components I create compelling contrasts to the weightiness of the clay.

Simply put, I’m motivated by a love of art making, whether it’s a new restaurant,  renovating a home or site-specific sculptural wall installation.

Prior to founding my San Francisco Bay Area  studio,  I was Design Director on projects spanning commercial interiors, retail, restaurant, exhibition design and residential work at a leading international design firm.

I welcome the opportunity to collaborate together on your next project!
